Master's
Program in International Business
The Master's Program in International
Business (MIB program) was established in 1986 and is taught entirely
in English. The MIB program is designed
to give future international managers the analytical and managerial
skills necessary to succeed in international
organizations.
The Norwegian economy is one of the
most international economies in the world. International shipping and the
offshore oil industry are typical examples
of successful industries that are important areas of research at the
School. Scandinavian companies have
also developed a unique form of management that puts great emphasis on
the quality of life of the employees,
combined with high technology and high quality products. Scandinavian
management in the international market
place has proven quite successful. The MIB program represents a high
quality international program within
a Scandinavian setting.
In the program students from all parts
of the world are enrolled, creating a truly cross-cultural environment.
The
School also has exchange agreements
with prestigious universities outside Norway and many visiting students
from these universities join the MIB
program for one or two semesters. We have thus established a cross-
cultural mini-society with students
from different cultures and with different academic backgrounds.
The objectives of the MIB program are
to educate students in the field of international business and to prepare
them for international careers in management.
The program is designed to provide the students with a strong
theoretical base through practical case
studies and interactions with the business community. |
