Aims of the M.B.A. program
The cross departmental program of postgraduate
studies is offered to all whose aim is to learn about the organization
and the succesfull management of business. The main goal of our university
is to help MBA students study about the latest management and business
issues and prepare them for taking action in the real business world.
Athens University of Economics and Business, especially the department of Business Administration and the Department of Operational Research and Marketing, has extensive experience in business studies and the academic staff of high standards guarantees the accomplishment of these goals.
Teaching Methods
The MBA students do not just follow a program
of lectures but participate in real-business problems analysis and solving
and have the opportunity to take intiatives and develop the necessary managerial
skills. Professors use the latest teaching merthods and show great interest
in presenting to the students all the modern ideas and in helping them
to understand the new business environment.
The MBA program is supproted by the installations
and the facilities of the University and students are always satisfied
by the quality of services and computer labs. In fact, there is also a
special "Postgraduate Center" which has its own seminar rooms, a special
secretary and a computer lab for postgraduate students.
Admission Criteria and Admission Policy
The MBA program is available for graduated
people from recognised in Greece universities. Those who posess
an undergraduate degree in a management or business administration area
are not required to take a test while graduates of other scientific fields
must first take exams on Accounting, Economics, Business Management and
Mathematics. All applicants must take the GMAT exams.
The Admission's Commitee examines the academic
record of the applicant, the results of the exams (if the applicant is
rerquired to take the exams), the GMAT score and every other possible criteria
such is business experience, publications etc.

Aims of the Programme
With the combined effort of the Department
of Business Administration, Economics and Accounting and Finance the Interdepartmental
Programme of Postgraduate Studies in Business Administration aims to:
Promote knowledge in Business Administration.
Encourages extensive research in Business
Administration and other surrounding areas concerning Accounting, Finance
and Economics.
Ensure high standards of studies in a postgraduate
level for executive members of the public and private sector.
Provide high standards of education in order
to increase productivity and control effectively human and economic resources.
Culture the interest and understanding of
the complete and dynamic international business environment.
Prepare executives, which will be able to
promote the development of Greek enterprises both domestically and abroad.
Provide training to executive members who
are concerned with public management and Govermental
organizations.
Promote scientists who wish to pursue an academic
carrier.
The philosophy of the MBA Programme is to guide
and insure our graduate students with basic principles, methods and knowledge
which will encourage life long learning.
According to this philosophy the teaching
staff uses multiple methods of teaching which include applied research,
study cases and also management games and simulation with the help of Information
Systems.
